Tender Ties

Artist statement: As I approach adulthood, I’ve reflected upon my childhood, my vulnerabilities, and the tender ties between a mother and her twins. I wanted to show the creation of life—a moment compounded with overwhelming fatigue and hope, and no pencil mark can truly capture the emotions of relief and love.
